Mrs. Payne was born April24, 1942, to the union of Jessie Roy Day and Marie Myrtle Blackmon Day and passed from this life on April 19, 2017, in New Orleans.
Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband's J. R. Williams and Jimmy Payne; daughter, Teresa Ann Houston; granddaughter, Jennifer Williams; grandson, Nicolas Williams; three sisters: Christine Fife, Pauline Walters, and Elizabeth Foy; and two brothers: William Earl "Billy" Day and Roy Ellis Day.
Survivors include four sons: Dennis Williams and wife Earline of Baskin, Gary "Stick" Williams and wife Virginia of Stonewall, Jamie Payne and Leslie Taylor of Russellville, AR, and Eddie "Scooter" Payne and wife Reyna of Russellville, AR; one daughter Pam McMurray and husband Bobby of Chase; one sister Katherine Walters of Laurel, MS; one brother Jerry Day of Baskin; 24 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
