Joseph Brent McCarley, 54, of Stuttgart passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at his home.

Brent was born April 24, 1962, in Stuttgart to Robert and Barbara Luebker McCarley. He was a 1981 graduate of Stuttgart High School and attended Little Rock Technical School. In 2000, Brent, a master electrician, took over Stuttgart Electric, a business that his grandfather and father started in 1962. He was a member of Yoder Ruritan, Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree and former coach for Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports program. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.J. “Mack” and Jane McCarley and Albert and Edris Luebker.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Kim Borchert McCarley; their sons, Trent McCarley of Stuttgart and Zackary McCarley of Nacogdoches, Texas; parents, Robert and Barbara McCarley of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and sister, Leslie Guffey of Conway and her children, Aerial and Ethan Guffey.

Funeral Mass, officiated by Father Clayton Gould and Father Phillip Reaves, is 10:00 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial following in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
