Jerry Mac Hansen, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 15, 2017, at his home following a very courageous battle with cancer. He was under the care of the great staff at Teton Cancer Institute.

Jerry was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Darwin and Belva Hansen, as the middle of five children. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and moved to Laramie, Wyoming, to attend WyoTech and follow his passion of painting cars. This is where Jerry met his first wife, Larraine (Call) Butler, and they had a daughter and a son together. They were later divorced.

In September of 1983, Jerry married the love of his life, Linda Carol Turner, after being setup on a blind date. They enjoyed traveling around buying, selling and collecting. This collecting habit also lead to many garage sale adventures. They also attended almost every Chuckar's baseball game for many years as season ticket holders. Jerry and Linda had one son together.

Jerry worked as a laborer for many years and retired from the Laborer's Local 155. He was always proud to show off and discuss all the different projects he worked on over the years. From his work also came many friends and great stories of practical jokes played on each other on the job site. There was never a home project that he couldn't tackle or a tool he didn't have.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle with his sons, grandsons, brothers and father. He was loved by all and could always be found teasing one of his nieces, whom he loved dearly, or having one of his many styles of beards being pulled on by them.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; daughter, Angela (Ryan) Smith, of Ammon, Idaho; sons, Timothy (Jona) Hansen, of Ammon, Idaho, and Cody (Corinne) Hansen, of Idaho Falls; mother, Belva Hansen, of Idaho Falls; father-in-law, Bill Turner, of Boise, Idaho; siblings, Valerie (Calvin) Schlafke, of Huntsville, Alabama, Danny (Sonja) Hansen, of Idaho Falls, and Paul (Sheri) Hansen, of Idaho Falls; brother-in-law, Nathan (Deanna) Turner; and eight beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Darwin Hansen, and sister, Darla Johnson, both of Idaho Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Buck Miller Hann, 825 E. 17th St., in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Inurnment services will follow at New Sweden Cemetery.

Jerry loved motorcycles. If you would like to send him off with one last roar of your motorcycle, please feel free to ride and give him one last smile!

Arrangements made under the direction of Buck Miller Hann Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.buckmillerhann.com.
