Hartselle, AL- Carolyn McLean Frazier, 65, died at the home of her son, Aex on Apr 2, 2017. A celebration of life later with interment at Massena Center Cemetery. Ms. Frazier was born in Massena on Feb 26, 1952, daughter of Donald (Red) and Martha Rickard McLean. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Anthony and Alysia Frazier, Wellington, Col; and Alexander Frazier, Hartselle, Al; her grandson, Maximus Kessell Frazier, Wellington, CO; her mother Martha McLean; two sisters, Catherine and Mark McDonald and Suzanne and Bill Ward McLean; and a brother, Keith and Judy McLean, all of Massena; her aunt E Jane and Matt Layo, Waddington. Carolyn attended Lincoln Elementary school, J William Leary Jr High and Massena Central school graduating in 1970. She married Sec. Lt. Douglas Frazier. After a divorce she moved back to Massena and worked for a paper mill and at Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam. She then went to college, graduating from Mater Dei with AAS in childhood development ant teacher assistant and Suny Potsdam with BA in History and elementary education and finished education with a Masters in Education; then teached at Massena Central School. Arrangements with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
