Sandra J. Larson

Sandi Larson passed away April 16, 2017 at the age of 72, joining her beloved sweetheart. She returned to his side after just a month apart, as he had left this world to prepare the way for her, on March 14, 2017.

She is survived by her children; Tom (Dana) Heiner, Susie (Terry) Bates, Ben Heiner, Daniel (Kara) Heiner; 3 wonderful step sons; Carl (Valerie) Larson, David (Leslie) Larson, John (Kim) Larson; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Joe Jenson, Chris Eggli, Tom Jenson, Pat Snow, Nancy Maxwell, and Michael Jenson. She was preceded in death by her mother, her step father, and one granddaughter.

Sandi was born, Sandra Lee Conforte on February 18, 1945 to Iona Davidson and a US soldier stationed at Fort Douglas near Salt Lake City. That GI left to serve in World War II and never returned. To this day, the family is not certain of his fate.

She was raised by her Maternal Grandparents, Amasa and Henrietta Ellingford Davidson. There she was truly loved by her grandparents and the apple of her Grandpa's eye. Her mother met and married Avril Jenson after his return from the war, and eventually she joined them and lived with them.

Sandi graduated from Highland High School as Sandi Jensen in 1963. She met and later married Hal Heiner on April 25, 1964. Together they had four children, Tom, Susie, Ben, and Daniel. They divorced after 18 years together.

Sandi worked most of her life including the entire time she was raising her family. She had worked for Hogle Zoo in her youth. During her first marriage, she worked for the Heiner's family business's including spending summers working at Como Springs. She also worked at Morgan High School in the attendance office. After she left Morgan, she worked in the parts department at Merrill Bean Chevrolet and tried to continue her education.

At a dance at Weber State she met Otis Carl Larson Jr. The two of them shared a mutual interest in dancing. Otis let her know that his company was hiring and encouraged her to apply there. She was hired at TRW systems. After knowing each other just 3 ½ months they were married. Little did they know that they would spend the rest of their lives together.

Sandi worked for TRW Systems until Otis retired to begin following his true love of the outdoors. With Otis's support, she continued her studies and after six years of going to school while working full time she graduated from Weber State College in 1987 with a B.S degree in Sales.

Once Sandi and her sweetheart started moving around they hardly stopped meeting new friends everywhere they were located. The two of them have friends from Alaska to Arizona and everywhere in between. There adventures had them working in State Parks and they lived in Moab working for the National Park Service as Park Rangers. They spent a few years traveling the West as fill in managers for Motel 6 that had them moving literally every two weeks.

While living in Mesa, Arizona she and Otis were called to serve a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

After so many years together it didn't surprise anyone that she followed her love so quickly.

The family would like to thank the staff at IHC Hospice for their love and care.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
