Clifford H. “Chuffy” Dawson, age 87, of Houstonia, died Monday, April 17, 2017

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, April 20, at Houstonia United Methodist Church. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Houstonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial that will be given to the city of Houstonia in Clifford’s name.

He is survived by four children, Vickie Vogelsmeier (Clay) of Grain Valley, Terri Medina of Warsaw; Tona Dawson (Robert) of Oak Grove, and Scott Dawson (Julie) of Marshall; one brother, Tony Dawson (Pat) of Hutchinson, KS; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jess and Nellie (Messer) Dawson, he was preceded in death by five brothers; two sisters; a son-in-law, Rick Medina; and special family members, Milo and Ida Baker.
