Terry K. Lowery, age 75, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017.
He was the son of Keith M. and Carolyn J. (Thompson) Lowery. He was a graduate of Marseilles High School. He married Bernadette 'Bernee' Mertes June 5, 1965 at St. Joseph Church, Peru.
Before retirement, he worked as a foreman at Mid-America Growers in Granville. He was an avid runner and participated in 596 races in his running career. He was a member of the Starved Rock Runners Club and the Peru Y.M.C.A. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph Church, Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernee on November 27, 2013; his grandson, Declan Bourgeacq and three brothers, Keith, Dennis and Rodney Lowery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 3:00 PM Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Joseph's Church in Peru with Rev. Jacob Rose, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Spring Valley with full military rites conducted by the Peru Veterans Memorial Group. Visitation will be 2-3:00 PM Friday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Mueller Funeral Home in Peru.
