2017, at her home.
She was born January 18, 1942, in Roosevelt, to John and Rosezella Hancock
Goodrich. She married Ronald E. Miles on August 21, 1959, in the Salt Lake LDS
Temple.
Carolyn was always involved with genealogy, and helped families and towns in the Uintah Basin compile their histories. She was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as Relief Society President, in the Young Women’s presidency, in the Primary, as a pianist, and a calling she really enjoyed: Stake Family History Director. Her last calling was as a Family History Consultant in the Roosevelt Spanish Branch.
She always helped Ron on the farm, but refused to milk cows!
She loved her grandchildren (almost more than her own children), and when a new grandchild came into the family, claimed she had another “Star in her Crown.” She was very much loved and will be deeply missed.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron, of Bluebell; children, Jon E
(Beth) Miles, Bluebell; Darla Harris, Vernal; Curtis (Sabrina) Miles, Bluebell; Rhonda (Francisco) Ayala, Bluebell; Donald (Torie) Miles, Altonah; Greg (Laci) Miles, Mt. Emmons; 29 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Kerri Miles, Roosevelt; sisters Carma Mathews, Altonah; Ardis (Donald) Johnson, Lander, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daryl; parents, John and Rosezella; brothers, Lloyd, Kenneth, Loren, Everett & Clyde Goodrich.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Altamont LDS Stake Center with a viewing on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and on Tuesday
from 10-10:45 a.m.
Burial will be in the Bluebell Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary. Condolences may be shared at www.hullingermortuary.com.y.
