Ethan L. Anderson passed away peacefully on April 17, 2017, after a brief illness. He had been under the care of Hospice of the Valley in Surprise, Arizona.

He was born July 14, 1924, to Delia Lee and Orial L. Anderson in Ammon, Idaho. He lived in Ammon for most of his 92 years. He attended school in Ammon, graduating from Ammon High School in 1942. He enlisted in the Navy in November 1943 and served on the USS Croatan. He was honorably discharged in November 1945.

He married GlennaLe Marshall on January 18, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. They had two daughters, Kris (Dave) Stanger of Wickenburg, Arizona, and Kathleen Anderson of Twin Falls, Idaho.

He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life but mainly farming and some carpenter work. He also worked for the CAL Ranch store in Idaho Falls. One of the happiest days of his life was when he was able to purchase the family farm. He and Glenna also spent time working in Ketchikan, Alaska, and running the Bone Store.

He is survived by his two daughters; sister, Von Andrews; sister-in-law, Joanne Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews. While he had no grandchildren of his own, he was very fond of Cameron and Becky Suitter. He enjoyed Becky’s visits and looked forward to them. She liked to check in on him and enjoy the fruits of his beautiful gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday August 26, 2017 at the Ammon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Coltrin Mortuary 2100 First St. Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
