Philip George, 71, a resident of the Taylor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of the Green Ridge section (2121 Comegys Ave), died Thursday at Mercy Hospital (now Regional Hospital of Scranton).
Born July 5, 1936, son of the late Philip A. and Grace Tully George, he was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School in 1952. Before retiring, he was employed as an electronic assembler at Tobyhanna Army Depot. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and its Holy Name Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call Thursday, 8:30 to 9, at the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Ave.
