Mr. Wayne Curtiss Carr, age 83, of Lakeside Drive, Blairsville, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017 in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Carr was born on July 7, 1933 in Syracuse, NY, the son of the late Hugh Carr and the late Gladys Niles Carr. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Korean War. Wayne was an Engineer serving with NASA and General Electric for most of his working career. He enjoyed computers, golfing and reading. He was a great handyman fixing just about anything electrical. He and his wife, ___ were world travelers. He was a loving and caring husband, father and brother. Wayne was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving Mr. Carr are his loving wife of sixty years, of Blairsville; one daughter, of Thomasville, NC; one sister and brother-in-law, of Rochester, NY.
No services are planned. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center in memory of Mr. Carr.
