REVEREND JOHNNY SILAS (JOHNBOY) WATSON was born August 1, 1954 in Chatsworth, Ga. went home to be with his Savior April 15, 2017. He was the next to the oldest of seven boys and three girls. He attended Pond Springs Elementary and Gordon Lee High School. He was an active member of Kensington Church of God where he preached and sang. He was a past Sunday School Superintendent at Boynton Church of God. He also had a nursing home ministry until his current illness. He retired from Synthetic Industry after 30 years of loyal service. His greatest joy in life was his family and singing the praises of his Lord. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Watson; maternal grandparents, William and Bessie Massey; fraternal grandparents, Carl and Minnie Watson and Myrtle Watson.

Survived by three sisters, James and Elaine Brock of LaFayette; Penny Spark of Trenton; Mike  and Turk Lawson of High Point; six brothers, William Watson of Kensington, Tony and Robin Watson of Kensington, Daryl  and Jerri Watson of Chickamauga, Thomas and Jillian Watson of Chattanooga, Terry  and Sara Watson of Flintstone, Tim  and Amy Watson of LaFayette; two daughters, Jimmy and Stacey Westbrook of Rossville; Darryl and Heather Cox of Soddy Daisy; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and Cody Watson whom he raised and is also a grandson; many nieces and nephews; and last  but not least his little sweetie Diane Wiley and her two boys Mikey and Bobby.

Funeral services Tuesday, April 18 at 5 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Chambers officiating.

Interment in LaFayette City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are William Watson, Bo Watson, Darryl Watson, Pogus Watson, Duck Watson, Tim Watson, Cody Watson, and Casey Bradley.

Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the funeral home Monday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 12 p.m. until time of service.

Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
