Carrie Elaine Savage, 75, wife of John B. Savage and a resident of Chincoteague, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007 on Chincoteague. Born Nov. 4, 1931 on Chincoteague, Mrs. Savage was the daughter of the late David Fish and Sue (McGee) Fish. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague, Daughters of Ruth Sunday School, and Ladies Aid. Other than her husband, Mrs. Savage is survived by son, Larry Savage and his wife Cheryl of Chincoteague, Greg Savage and his wife Kathy of Chincoteague, David Savage and his wife Patsy of Chincoteague and Raymond Savage and his wife Eva of New Church; grandchildren, Shannon Lindsay and her husband Mike of Wattsville, Denny Savage and his wife Melissa of Greenbackville, Daniel Savage and his wife Jenny of Greenbackville, Ruth Ann Britton and her husband David of Chincoteague, Megan Savage of Salisbury, Md. and Raven Savage of New Church; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Russell Fish. A funeral service was held at Union Baptist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Kevin Eley officiated. Interment was in Mechanics Cemetery, Chincoteague. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 316, Parksley, VA 23421. Arrangements were made by Salyer Funeral Home, Chincoteague.
