The oldest child of Waeta "Meryle" (McKibben) and Glen Lant Chapman, Nattie was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Puyallup, Wash. She married Wesley Charles Guderian on August 3, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Klamath Falls.

She became a photo color artist at her husband's photography studio on Main Street. Later the family moved to Portland, Ore., where Wes was a newspaper photo-journalist for the Oregonian. She used her artistic skills working for other photographers in the area. After moving to King City, she worked as a bus driver for the Tigard School District. The couple returned to Klamath Falls in 1980.

Nattie enjoyed cooking, gardening, and doing all types of crafts. She was an avid bridge player and played regularly with several groups. She was a member of Sojourners, Beta Sigma Phi and active with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She liked to be with her church family, assemble jigsaw puzzles, play scrabble, garden and entertain. As her health began to fail, she moved in with her oldest daughter.
