Mary Adelman passed away at a Norfolk nursing home on Friday, July 31, at the age of 94 years.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:30 am at St. Leonard Catholic Church. Rev. William Weidner officiated with burial in the parish cemetery.

Music was provided by Melissa Holloway, soloist, the St. Leonard Church choir, and Mary Jurgens, organist.

Mary Adelman was born November 25, 1897 in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Barbara [Margaret] (Gleisner) Lintner. She attended school near Madison and St. Leonard Parochial School. She was employed in Omaha for several years.

On June 1, 1920, she was married to Albert J. Adelman at Madison. They farmed southeast of Madison until moving into town in 1976.

Mrs. Adelman had been a resident of St. Joseph Nursing Home in Norfolk since 1987. She was a member of Christian Mothers of St. Leonard.

Survivors include two sons, Jack and Don, both of Madison; two daughters, Charlotte (Mrs. Chet) Carlock of Bradenton, Florida and Carol (Mrs. John) McCarty of Bellevue, Washington; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Sophie Kehn of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her husband on October 19, 1978, one son, four brothers and three sisters.
