Leslie James Morton, Jr., departed this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie James Morton, Sr. and brother James Morton.

"Junior" was born on May 25, 1980 in Richmond, Virginia. At an early age he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended Caroline County Public Schools and King George High. He moved temporarily with his parents to Washington State and Oregon at a very young age.
His passion was cooking so many of his jobs were where was able to cook. At the time of his passing, he was employed by KFC Restaurant as a Cook Manager in Dahlgren, VA. Junior enjoyed building decks and he had many opportunities to build them.

"Junior" loved life and enjoyed coaching softball. Once his girls were old enough, he continued to coach other girls because he did not want the softball Association to end. He was very enthusiastic about all sports and whenever he could share his love for any sport, he did so to support others.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Angela; his stepmother Ann Morton; three daughters – Taijanae Hudson of Maryland; Brianna Morton and Tamaya Morton of Milford, Virginia; and one son – James Morton of Milford, Virginia; one grandchild – Nova of Maryland; two sisters – Angela Morton of Ruther Glen, Virginia and Beidge Morton of Spotsylvania, Virginia; two brothers - Nicholas Morton of Port Royal, Virginia and Andre Johnson of Bowling Green, Virginia; father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Ella Johnson; three brothers-in-law Troy, Tony and Timmy Davis; one sister-in-law Amy Davis; grandmother-in-law Martha Johnson; very devoted cousins Maxine Gahagan and Vangie Waite, a favorite niece Simone Morton, godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Grier, Sr.; god-sister, Jilanna Curry; best friends Blake Brown and Katherine Johnson; special friends Amy Copper, Missy Taylor and Cathy Jo Gray; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 14th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, April 15th at 11:00 AM in the auditorium of the Caroline Community Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
