He was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Welsh, W.Va., a son of the late Reba (Hodges) Awery and Harry Jimison. On Feb. 14, 1955, he married the former Shirley M. Adams who survives.
Davey graduated from High School in 1948. He was in the Marines from April 1952 to April 1954 where he served as an MP.
He retired from Hershey Foods/Pasta Division where he worked as a regional manager for the New York/ New Jersey metropolitan area.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by two daughters, Tina M. Jimison, of Gaffney, S.C., and Kelly L. Jimison-Boye and her husband, Ryan, of Selinsgrove; one son, David A. Jimison and his wife Kimberly; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at David's UCC, Hebe, followed by the funeral at 11.
Interment will be in the Orchard Hills Cemetery and Memorial Park, Shamokin Dam.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Davey L. Jimison to the Alzheimer's Association, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
