LaVerne Eppler of Kerman, California, went home to be with the Lord. She was surrounded by her family when Jesus took her in his arms.

LaVerne was born in Waldron, Arkansas where she met her husband, Chet Eppler, and they later married on January 15, 1940.

The two moved to California where they started their family and had three daughters, Jan, Judy and Martie. LaVerne was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cared for her family with all of her heart and enjoyed spending countless hours visiting and talking with them.

She also took pride in her church and worshiping the Lord. LaVerne could light up a room with her spunky personality, beaming smile and sparkling eyes. She will be missed tremendously by her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, faithful servant of the Lord and a wonderful friend to everyone. Her family is comforted to know that LaVerne's devotion to the Lord has led her Home. We will miss you and always keep you in our hearts until we reunite with you at Heaven's gates and we know that you will be right there waiting for us with a hug and kiss, ready to welcome us in.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chet Eppler.

She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Jan and Mike Dresick, Judy and Tom Hickman and Martie and Rusty Souza. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at First Southern Baptist Church of Kerman, at 14669 W. 'G' St., on Friday, February 9, 2007, at 11:00 a.m.

A Burial will follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
