Mrs. Marie Mathis age 81, departed this life on Sunday afternoon at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Robert "Bobby" and Betty (Epperson) Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester G. Mathis Sr.; a son, Donald E. Mathis; son-in-law, James "Jimmy" Cochran; brother, Henry Barnes; sister, Irene Barnes, Grace Barnes and Margie Martin.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elmarie and Edward Celatka; sons and daughter-in-law, Lester G. Mathis Jr., James Mathis, Fred and Betty Mathis, all of Dalton, and Curtis and Ann Mathis of Calhoun.
