Rev. Jesse Wilford Hargrove, Sr., 97, of Wickliffe, KY, passed away at 6:20 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Life Care Center of LaCenter.
He worked as a deckhand on the River, for TVA steam plant and was a die-cast operator in Michigan for a die-cast corporation. He was former pastor at Beech Grove Baptist Church where he done mission work and he also farmed. He was a Navy veteran in World War II.
He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Weaver of LaCenter, KY, Melva Hart of Hickory, KY, Brenda Lanham of Southgate, KY; three sons, Johnny Hargrove of Wickliffe, KY, Joe Hargrove of Wickliffe, KY, Kenneth Hargrove of Hanson, KY; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Crews Hargrove; his parents, Lucian and Mandy Lawerence Hargrove; four sisters; one brother; and 1 grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickliffe with Rev. David Callison officiating. Burial will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Wickliffe.
