Beatrice Joyce was born in Brenham, Texas, to the late Edmund "Ed" and Clara Ploehn. She was baptized on March 3, 1927, and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Brenham, Texas where she taught Sunday School for the students from the State School.
She worked in her parent’s Santa Fe café, at Blue Bell creamery, and for over 20 years as a devoted teacher at the Brenham State School. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and loved a good BBQ lunch.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Norwood "Busty" Ploehn.
Survivors include her sons, Tom Hudson and Rock Hudson, of Brenham; and her brother, Holle Ploehn, of Tacoma, Washington. L5
