Danny Joe "Stubby" Ramsey, age 75, of New Johnsonville, TN, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at his home. Danny was born October 25, 1941, in Paris, TN, to Hilmon Rye and Mary Ruth James Ramsey. He was married to Donna Jean Oliphant Seller Ramsey. He was a retired Lab Technician for E.I. DuPont in New Johnsonville.
Danny was an avid fisherman. He loved woodworking and sharing his creations with family and friends. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, neighbor, and friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 4-8 p.m., with the Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m., at the Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Jake Beard will be officiating the service.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Jean Oliphant Seller Ramsey of New Johnsonville; a daughter: Dawoyn (John) Reprogal of Waverly; two step-sons: David (Buffy) Seller of Waverly and Scott (Kayla) Seller of McEwen; two grandchildren; four step-granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.
