Donald (Don) Gray, 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 12, at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Lamasco, KY on March 11, 1934, to the late Willie Belle (Oliver) and Earl Gray.
He was a graduate of Bosse High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Don retired from ITT Continental Baking as Divisional Manager. Don enjoyed lifelong friendships with "The Good Time Golf Group" and Bosse High School "Rehuddle". The annual trips to Destin, FL gave him great joy throughout his lifetime. Don was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a current member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a happy, patient and loving husband, dad, Pappy, Papa Don, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.
Don is survived by his wife of 20 years, Martha Sue Gray; sons, grandchildren, ; sisters,
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Carol "Susie" (Kanowsky), twin brother Ron, and brother-in-law, Ralph Reyher.
Visitation will be 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 S. Green River Rd., Evansville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Father Bernie Etienne officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, where the Retired Veteran's will conduct Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity in Don's memory.
