Jack R. Hart, 90, of Reading, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Geraldine R. (Adams) Hart. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruth J. (Harting) Hart in 1977.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Oscar H. and Claire H. (Brown) Hart.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during W.W. II. He retired in 1991 from Barco Industries in Reading. Jack and Gerry were members of Salem Shalters Lutheran Church in Fleetwood. He was an avid Phillies fan, golfer, historian, reader, woodworker, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing ball, baking his pies.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Linda J. Hart of Manheim; Gail L., wife of Allen M. Youse of Mohnton; Glenn R., husband of Michele L. Hart of Mohnton; and Russell J. Hart of San Diego, CA.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Timothy M., husband of Shanna Youse of Mohnton; Amelia C. Hart, fiancée of Kody Moore of Danville; and Andrew J., wife of Marlana Sokolovich of Clinton, IA; and great grandchildren Kolton M. Youse of Mohnton; Adelyn and Drew Sokolovich of Clinton, IA.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Lesley J. Hand, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.
