Ralph F Bruce of Marshalltown died of a heart ailment Saturday at the Iowa Veterans Home.

Graveside services will be at 3p.m. Monday at Colfax Cemetery in Colfax.

Mr. Bruce was born in Grinnell, IA and had lived in DesMoines most of his life. He was a retired, self-employed carpenter, an Army veteran of WWII and a member of Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two sons, Ed of Pretty Prairie, KS and Rick of Wichita,KS :daughter Bonnie Brock of Wichita; three sisters Mary Polka of Grinnell, Muriel Bell of Colfax and Jenny Tharp of Cedar Rapids; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
