Mrs Catherine McEvoy
Mrs Catherine McEvoy, wife of the late John D McEvoy, aged 80 years, died at 12:15 o'clock this morning. at her home, 127 Green street. Mrs. McEvoy was born in Somerset, Pa., April 28, 1837, coming to Cumberland when an infant and had since resided in this city. She was a devout member of S S. Peter and Paul’s Church and a member of the Third Order of St, Francis, of that church. Mrs. McEvoy w as the first and only remaining charter member of the order which was organized sixty years ago. Surviving are two sons: Robert F and Charles H McEvoy; granddaughter, Miss Marie McEvoy residing at the McEvoy home, Green street, and one sister, Sister Aloysius Gonzaga, at the Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum, Kingsbridge, N.Y. The late F M Gramlich was a brother of Mrs McEvoy. The funeral will lake place at 9 o'clock Saturday morning from SS Peter and Paul Catholic church. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
