Thomas Warren Farmer went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2017. Thomas was born Jan. 15, 1988, in Fairbanks. He was 29 years young.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather barely three years ago. He is survived by his mother, Linda, and husband Fred Aker; his father, Art, and wife Lisa Farmer; sister, Angela, and husband Jason McAuliff, nieces Jacqueline, Julianna, Jadamaria and Jenavieva-Lily and nephews Jason Jr., Jackson and Joseph; sister Rachel Garcia and family; brother, Arthur Farmer, and partner Heather, niece Cassidy and nephews Luke and Aedan; sister, Alicia, and husband Jeremy McCombs, nephew Andrew and niece Mercedes; brother, Gavin Aker, and partner Elizabeth, nieces Tegan and Anneliese with one on the way who will never have the honor and adventure of knowing his or her uncle, brother Stephen Woody, sister Cassandra Aker and nieces, Teagan and Bailee, sister Sydney Aker, grandma Velvie Teel and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Thomas grew up in both North Pole, and Hood River, Oregon; he considered both as home. After graduating high school, Thomas was a free spirit; he had fun with his life. In fall 2012, he attended and graduated from Northwest Lineman School in Oroville, California. He then traveled the country, working, adding to his very long friends list, and making adventures wherever he went. Thomas was a gravitational infectious force impossible to ignore. Once enraptured by him, you couldn't help but to just be happy. Thomas radiated happiness in every direction.
The stories we have collected since his passing - stories from lifelong friends down to people he had just met - are proof of this. Thomas lived a life full of adventures with as many family and friends he could have, from fishing and hunting to trips to the comic book store and movie dates with his mom. He touched hundreds of lives and leaves a legacy all of us can appreciate.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at the North Pole Worship Center, 3340 Badger Road, followed by a catered bonfire at his sister Alicia's house, 1279 Carat Loop, North Pole.
