Kevin Hope, 37, an enrolled member of the Blackfeet tribe whose Indian name translated as "Mountain Lion," drowned at Gleneden Beach, Ore., on Saturday, Aug. 4.

Per his last wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes were scattered in the ocean. A memorial feed is 5 p.m. Saturday at Old Agency, Badger Creek swimming hole.

Survivors include second wife Heather Holst; children Jude C., Jacob W and Jayce Ann Hope; sister Julie A. Hope and family; and brothers James and his family, John, Dewight and Mathew Hope.

Kevin's life here on earth came to an end after a drowning accident in Gleneden Beach, Ore. Kevin is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Tribe. His Indian name translated is Mountain Lion.

Kevin's last wishes of being cremated and his ashes scattered in the ocean were carried out Aug. 10, by his children Jude C., Jacob W. and Jayce Ann Hope.

A Memorial Feed in Kevin's honor was held Saturday, Aug. 11, in Old Agency, Badger Creek swimming hole. Family and friends celebrated the life of beloved uncle, brother, father and friend, Kevin Hope.

Kevin is survived by his three children; his sister Julie A. Hope with her children, Curtis, Shad, Chance and Journey; his older brother James C. Watts with his wife Joyce and their children Adelle C., Alicia J., Athena S., J.C. and Austin W. Watts; he also has brothers, John, Dewight and Mathew Hope; and his second wife, Heather Holst.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Wilda Marie Spotted Eagle, Father John Sheridan Hope and sister Cynthia Marie Watts.
