Larry James Hamrick, 68, of Harmony, was born to the late Jewell Macajah Hamrick and Lucille Irene Reid Hamrick.
Larry was a graduate of Rowan County Schools and served his country honorably in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. In 1969, he married Phyllis Jewell Smith, who survives. They shared almost 48 years of marriage before his passing. His career was varied as he had served as a police officer with the Statesville Police Dept., Assistant Manager at Western Steer, and was a butcher by trade having worked at Walmart and the Butcher Shop. He was of Baptist faith.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis; a daughter, Marsha Choplin; a grandson, Jamie Trentham; and a brother, Richard Lee Hamrick.
