María Concordia Clara Constancia García was born at Rancho Poza August 10 and baptized at Mission San Juan Bautista on August 12, 1821 (SJB Baptism 02893). She was the daughter of soldado Felipe Santiago García y Lugo and Native American neophyte María Ignacia ("Jaíssum"). She died at Monterey and was buried in the Presidio Chapel cemetery on January 30, 1828 (SC Death 02636).
