Bertie Marie Beard Dodson, 80, of Little Rock passed away Friday, October 9, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, James Watt Dodson; parents, Herbert and Bertha Beard; brothers, Troy, Cecil and Thomas Beard and sister, Floy Lee Beard. She is survived by three children, Charles Dodson and wife, Brenda, of Little Rock, Jimmy Wayne Dodson, of California and Cynthia Dodson, of Mabelvale; seven brothers and sisters, John F. Beard, of North Little Rock, William Floyd Beard, of Cabot, Inez Quattlebaum, of Greenbrier, Mary Ann Robinson and Wanda Sue Yarberry, both of North Little Rock, Linda Dillon, of Jacksonville and Lena Davis, of Corsicana, Texas; five grandchildren, Shannon, James, Crystal and Jimmy Wayne Dodson, Jr. and Gabriel Walley; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Monday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St.
