Born December 28, 1959 in Caldwell County, Ricky was a son of Boyce and Leona Chester Hicks. Ricky worked in the heating and air business and will be remembered as a handy man. He enjoyed camping, hunting and most of all, fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherri Coffey Hicks of the Home; his children, Josh Hicks (wife Brandy) and Amanda Hicks of Hudson; two brothers, Roger Hicks of Dudley Sholes and Barry Hicks of Hudson; three grandchildren, Hailey Hicks, Emma Hicks and Ryleigh Hicks; he is also survived by numerous other relatives.
A graveside celebration of Ricky’s life will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Lenoir with Pastor David Woods officiating.
