Stanley Berton Wells of West Liberty, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at West Liberty, KY, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, & 6 days. He was born Sunday, May 6, 1951 at West Liberty, KY, son of the late Matthew & Armelva Williams Wells.
Stanley was united in marriage to Fonda Barker. This union was blessed with two children, Karen & Melissa Carol. He was a heavy equipment operator for a coal mining company. He was a Christian, a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Carol Wells; one brother, James Wells; and one half-brother. Tom Wells.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Fonda Barker Wells; one daughter & son-in-law, Karen & Tim Bailey of Morehead, KY; two grandchildren, Megan Bailey and Matt Bailey; one brother, Darvin & Sue Wells of West Liberty, KY; one sister, Betty Lykins of Ezel, KY; and three half-sisters, Janice Brown of TX, Lois Wick, and MarieJeri Deuer both of OH; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 3 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Gevedon & Bro. Jim Tyra officiating. Burial to follow in the Wells Cemetery, Liberty Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation from 1 - 3 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Potter Funeral Home.
