John Linsey Hargrove, 99, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2017.
John was born March 14, 1918 in Palmetto, La., to John and Irene (Hooks) Hargrove. He served four years in the United States Air Force as a TSgt. John worked 24 years in the Air Force Plant Representative Office at General Dynamics as an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector, Supervisor and Industral Specialist. Following his retirement from civil service, John worked for General Dynamics in Logistics for 5 years. He was very proud of his service to his country and his time spent representing the USAF. John always had good stories to tell of missions flown overseas or inspections of aircraft here at home. He could also identify almost every aircraft in the air. John married Irene Reissig, who was the love of his life and soulmate for 72 years. Special thanks to the staff at Garden Terrace for their loving care and support to the family.
Survivors: Wife, Irene; sister, Margaret Parrish; son, Dan Hargrove; daughter, Sharie Lignelli;
grandchildren, Elaine Welsh, Justin Hargrove and Ean Hargrove, Tawny Lignelli; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
