CIVIL WAR VETERAN: Enlisted 13 August 1861 at Camp McCraven by Ashbel Smith for the duration of the war; Discharged 29 July 1862 - muster roll cards show he was in ill health, one noted rheumatism.

2. MILITARY: Widow's Confederate Pension #17683.
19 AUG 2017-Photo Contributor Kenneth O. Reed (#48020342) states: "The overseer of Confederate Cemetery in Alvin Texas does not show this couple's internment in this cemetery. They have all the original records from the first burial to the last. Thanks."
