Edith Louisia Webb, 93, of Batesville died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at a Batesville hospital.

Born Aug. 22, 1909, in Boswell, Ark., she was the daughter of Thomas and Nancy Vest Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of the Southern Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessee Ewell (Cop) Webb; a son, Dwayne C. Webb; an infant brother, James Jones; two brothers, William Jones of Arizona and Alvie Jones of Calico Rock; two sisters, Sylvia Jones Welder of California and Freda Webb of Mountain Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Gwenda and husband Sedral Johnson of Batesville; a daughter-in-law, Betty Webb of Mount Pleasant; three grandchildren, Keith Johnson and wife Debbie of Newark, Jerry Webb and wife Cindi of Mount Pleasant and Lisa Hunter and husband Tracy of Desha; two sisters, Mae Gifford of West Plains, Mo., and Mary Mullins of Kansas City, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Angela Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Nathan Doffin, all of Batesville, Andrea Webb of Cabot, Jesse Webb and Jared Webb of Mount Pleasant, Alicia Hunter of Desha; two great-great-grandchildren, Keegan Johnson of Batesville, Abrianna Bumpous of Thida; and lots of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Southern Baptist Church with Brother Bruce Qualls officiating. Burial will be at Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant with arrangements by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Rick Webb, Bob Webb, Charles Jones, Buster Jones, Jerry Jones and Buddy Jones.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
