Runaway Bay ~ Curtis Arnold West, 73, retired mobile equipment supervisor for Hansen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with visitation noon-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service is 3:00 p.m. Monday at West Family Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana.

Curtis was born on December 3, 1943 to Arnold and Elva (Arledge) West in DeRidder, Louisiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Curtis was a member, a deacon and a Sunday school teacher at Balsora Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Randall, Dale, LeRay, and Billy Burton West.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Marie West of Runaway Bay; his son, Billy West and wife Angie of League City, Texas; his daughters, Rhonda West Burge and husband Mark of Arlington, Texas; Kalyn Flanagin and husband Ben of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Lindsay West, Alaina Burge, Lydia Burge, Matthew Burge, Liam Flanagin, and Seamus Flanagin; his brothers, Larrie West of Vinton, Louisiana, Bruce West and wife Lurla Fae of Vidor, Texas; his sisters, Mary Powell and husband Phil of Garland, Gwen Clark of Vinton, Louisiana, and Jan Vaclavik and husband Terry of Vinton, Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
