Janice A. Hamrick, 89, formerly of Monroe, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Visiting Nursing Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne. Janice was born on December 27, 1927 in Adams County to the late Walter C. and Pearl I. (Strickler) Oliver. On March 18, 1950, she married Paul R. Hamrick and after 60 years together, he preceded her in death on April 29, 2011.
Janice was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren and worked as a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Bradley P. (Leah) Hamrick of Coatesville, IN; a daughter, Brenda K. Hamrick of New Haven; a sister, Jean Hildebrand of Decatur; 3 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan I. Workinger and two brothers, Fredrick F. and Franklin T. Oliver.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. also on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. Pastor Jay Carter will be officiating and burial will take place in Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery.
