Mrs. Molly Jean Newton Thompson, age 81, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Wednesday morning, April 12th, 2017.
Mrs. Thompson was born on October 9th, 1935 in Cherokee County, Alabama a daughter of Mr. John Forrest Newton and Mrs. Ima Ray Parker Newton. Mrs. Thompson had been employed by the Arrow Shirt Company where she retired following many dedicated years. She attended the Mountain Home Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Rev. Ernest Van Thompson, father, John Forrest Newton; her mother, Ima Ray Parker Newton; a brother, Hayden Newton and her sister, Virginia McArthur.
Molly Thompson is survived by her son, Keith Thompson; her son and daughter in law, Stanley and Mimi Thompson; her brother and sister in law, Henry and Jane Newton and her grandsons, Josh Thompson and Justin Thompson. A number of n
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Molly Newton Thompson will be conducted on Friday afternoon, April 14th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Rice, Rev. Sammy Stephens and Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in the North View Cemetery.
The following Gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Josh Thompson, Justin Thompson, Henry Newton, Barry Newton, Ted Smith and Ricky Thompson.
The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Molly Jane Newton Thompson.
