cott C. Carpenter, age 48, of Suburban Ave., Ashtabula Township, Ohio, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic following an 8 month battle with Leukemia. He was born July 6, 1964, in Ashtabula, the son of Melvin and Barbra (Jennings) Carpenter and has been a lifetime area resident. He was a graduate of Edgewood High School. Scott was employed as a truck driver with Jefferson Trucking Service. He enjoyed camping with his family for many years. Besides his parents, Melvin Sr. and Barbra Carpenter, he is survived by his wife, Terry, who he married Dec. 19, 1985; his four children, Christy, Nicole, Scotty and Katie (Little) Theresa; his brothers, Melvin Jr. (Deborah), Mark (Margaret) and Bradlee (Christine); sister-in-law, Marian (Ray DeCola) Ondrus; brother-in-law, Edward (Diana) Ondrus; George, Charlie and Reggie who knew him as "papa"; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and good friends. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 12th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville. Calling Hours will be Wednesday, July 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
