Antonio Bracy was born May 1, 1977 to Sterling Cartrell Griffin and Vanessa Ann Bracy, where as both have proceeded him in death. Tony, as he was lovingly called, accepted Christ at the age of 12 at Mary Magdalene M.B. Church, under the leadership of Dr. Leroy R. Henry. His grandmother Betty Joe Bracy (Allen) was his primary caregiver. She made sure he attended church each Sunday. Tony sang in the choir for many years. There he developed a prayer life. Tony grew up in the Roseland community and attended Peter Van Vlissingen Elementary and Hyde Park High School where he played football. He received his GED and continued his education to become a Master Barber. Tony married his soul mate Jodi Ergle, August 3, 2012. They became inseparable, enjoying one another immensely. Tony was a happy person who loved life. He loved the Lord, family and friends. His children meant the world to him. He was their protector and provider making sure that they were comfortable to the best of his ability. His favorite past time was traveling, being with is precious wife, playing with his children and entertaining friends and family. Poker and Spades were the two card games he would challenge any opponent while most times listening to "Old School" music. His favorite song was "Contagious" by The Isley Brothers. Tony made his transition to eternity on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Left to cherish Tony's memories is his loving and caring wife Jodi. His precious children, DeShawn, Ameera, Elizabeth (Lizzy), Joseph and Janessa. His irreplaceable Grandmother Betty Joe Bracy (Allen) of Chicago, IL. Four incredible Aunts, Doris Bradly, Tamara Griffin Smith (Ralph Smith), Linda Griffin Smith and his very special Aunt Jessie Bracy. One devoted Uncle, Tramane (Velda) Bracy. Mother in-law Bonnie Irons and Father in-law James Shaw, Sister in-law Amanda Shaw and Brother in-law Joseph Ergle. A dear friend and cousin Mack Allen.
