BARBERTON -- Valeria L. Smith, 87, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011.

A resident of Barberton for 65 years, she retired from the Barberton City Schools. Valeria was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and she enjoyed volunteering for Mobile Meals.

Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W., Valeria is survived by her daughters, Susan VanSickle, Janet (Gary) Chaffins and Sharon Steeg; son, Jeffry (Alicia) Smith; grandchildren, Tracey (Darrell) Hollis, Tamara VanSickle, Ellen Chaffins, Brian (Helen) Chaffins, Bryce (Lori) Steeg, Darcy (Brent) Morris, Joshua (Jessica) Smith, Ethan (Holly) Smith and Micah Smith along with seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with Rev. Tina Nees officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
