Dorothy Faye "Polly" Burgess Rowland, 94, formerly of Hurt died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Autumn Care of Altavista. She was the wife of the late Perry Douglas Rowland.
She was born July 18, 1922 in Altavista, a daughter of the late Willie Ben Burgess and Gertrude Lewis Burgess. She was a member of the former Clement Memorial Wesleyan Church and a retired employee of The Lane Company.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Dick, James, and Frank Burgess; and three sisters, Hazel Rowles, Cleo Cox, and Maudline Strouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Altavista Memorial Park by the Rev. David Bayse.
