Joseph George Boucher, 89, of Carlsbad, CA , passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Fredericka Manor in San Diego.

He was born in Hartford, CT to the late Arthur and Elise (Berube) Boucher on June 29, 1927. He grew up in Hartford, CT and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Air Force during the World War II and Korean War eras. He was a retired captain in the Hartford Fire Department and Fire Marshall at the U.S. Submarine Base in Groton, CT. He was a member of the French-American Club, the BPO of Elks and the Disabled American Veterans.

Joseph is survived by son Peter (Claudia) Boucher of Hilo, HI., daughter Charlene (Paul) Picard of Colchester, CT., and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Final Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery on June 20, 2017. Burial will be private at the request of his family.
