Frances Mary Austermiller, 97 of Findlay died on Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born on July 29, 1917 in Napoleon, Ohio the daughter of Christian and Anna Armbruster, baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church on August 19, 1917 and confirmed on March 29, 1931. She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1935. On January 10, 1939 she married Lauren Austermiller, who passed away on October 13, 1987. Frances Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and its Wesley Sunday school class. She was also a member of Dendarch Court #10 Toledo, Ohio, LBSNA Aboney Eves #11, Royal Order of Jesterettes Toledo, Ohio, the Findlay Ladies Shriner Club, Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Twig #17 and an associate member of the Union Congregational Church, Sebring, Florida. Surviving her is her son, Larry (Janie) Austermiller, Inverness, Illinois and Naples, Florida and two grandchildren, Steve (Amy) of Tablisi, Georgia and Julie Austermiller of Alexandria, Louisiana and two great grandchildren, Sienna and Sophia and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Freda Huddle, Mabel Leininger, Marcille Hardin and two brothers Byran and Kenneth Armbruster. She had continued to remain faithful in her faith, recognizing the truth of his past in the words of her two favorite hymns, "I'm But a Stranger Here" and "How Great Thou Art." She and her husband had lived in Napoleon and Defiance, Ohio and Champaign, Illinois before moving to Findlay in 1962. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, where visitation will be 1 1/2 hours prior to the service. Pastor Larry Kreps will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John's United Church of Christ, rural Holgate, Ohio
