CWO4 Warren L. Shelton, U.S. Navy, Ret., 83, of Biloxi, died Monday, June 26, 2006 in Ocean Springs. Warrant Officer Shelton was a native of Johnson City, TN. He was a Coast resident for the past 35 years. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service, having served in World War II, The Pacific and European Theaters of Operation, Korea and Vietnam. At the time of his retirement he was serving as the Navy Exchange Officer at the Gulfport C.B. Base. After his retirement he served as a volunteer at Keesler Medical Center for over 29 years often putting in over 50 hours a week. He was known as a true southern gentlemen. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Emily Shelton of Biloxi and four sisters-in-law.
