Wayman Donald Love went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2020. He was born on June 3, 1933 in Spur, Texas to Houston and Minnie Love.

He graduated from Colorado High School in 1951 and later attended Sul Ross State University where he lettered on the football team. He later served in the US Army for two years in Panama and was honorably discharged in 1956. Shortly later, he met the love of his life, Jerry Lysteen Cranfill and they were wed on April 19, 1957 in Roscoe, Texas.

Wayman worked 30 years for Chevron and retired as a drilling supervisor in the Snyder, Texas office. He later worked an additional two years as a drilling consultant for Chevron.

Dad loved quail hunting, fishing trips, college/pro football, investing, talking about the oilfield and listening to the Colorado Wolves on the radio. He loved talking with people and was the ultimate extrovert.

He also leaves behind many great friends, including Don Greenlee, who proceeded him in death, his coffee buddies at the Dairy Queen, and the lunch bunch at the senior center. The family would also like to extend special thanks to Bobby/Jan Lemons, Nathan/ Cheryl Hoyle, Betty Sayger, David/Leslie Jones, Al Mendoza, Joan Beach, Possum/Kim Mann, members of Oak Street Baptist Church and First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Houston and Minnie Love, his wife Jerry and three brothers, Durwood, Jimmy and Charles Ray Love.

He is survived by one brother, Eldon "Dink" Love of Keller and two sons, Tony Love and wife Sorany of Colorado City and Tim Love, wife Marianela and grand daughter Stacey Love of the Woodlands.
