OXFORD, O, Dec. 22- Edward BeeKs, southwestern Ohio newspaperman, and a member of Oxford City council, died of a heart attack late today. Born in Brookville, Indiana, he came here in 1882, and later worked on papers in Washington, Chicago, and Buffalo. He returned here 20 years ago and was a correspondent for a number of Ohio newspapers. Sixty-seven years old, he leaves his widow and one son, Dr. Frank Beeks, Portsmouth.
