Mr. Bobby Jack Wallace, age 83, of Smyrna, GA passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 9am Friday, April 14th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Dr. Richard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at 10:30am. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
Born in Canton, GA, Mr. Wallace moved to Cobb County over 50 years ago. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Glidden Paint Company after over 30 years of employment. Mr. Wallace sang in a gospel quartet, and served as a Deacon and Choir Director at many churches in the area. He enjoyed many activities, including coaching little league baseball at Milford and East Cobb ballparks, woodworking, working in the framing department at Michael’s, and was an avid Braves fan.
