UNION RESIDENT GUNSHOT VICTIM

James T. Richmond, 67, of Gresser Road in Union Township, apparently took his life Thursday, authorities said. In ill health, he died of a wound inflicted by a .22 caliber revolver at his home.
Born Sept. 16, 1903 at Soddy, Tenn., he was a Hobart area resident most of his life. He retired from American Rockwell Standard Steel, Gary, after 28 years service.
He was a member of the Wheeler United Methodist Church and the Men's Club of the church.
Surviving besides his widow, Edith, are a son, Gene, Hobart, two nephews whom he reared, Paul Crisman, Hobart, and Virgil Crisman, Monticello; a brother, Cecil Richmond, Toledo, O.; two sisters, Miss Iva Richmond, Soddy, and Mrs. Nellie Carter, Denver, 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. William Johnson officiating. Burial will be in McCool Cemetery, Portage.
